Description
The Chelsea 890 Series Power Take-Off, part number 890MGFJW-D5XY or 890MGFJWD5XY, is a hydraulic hot-shift PTO engineered specifically for Allison 3000 MD and 4000 HD Series transmissions. It mounts via a 10-bolt flange and positions the SAE C output flange at the rear of the transmission, improving pump clearance without the added complexity of a separate extension. The one-piece main shaft eliminates the input splines found between a conventional PTO body and an output extension. Wet Spline Technology on the output protects both the PTO shaft and pump shaft during demanding continuous-duty cycles. Continuous torque rating reaches up to 670 lb-ft, with intermittent torque rated above 501 lb-ft. Shaft power output is 64 HP at 500 RPM and 128 HP at 1,000 RPM. Call us to confirm proper fit for your specific Allison transmission configuration.

Additional Information
The Chelsea 890 Series was designed to serve applications where pump space and high torque output are both critical. Typical uses include aerial trucks, fire and rescue trucks, refuse trucks, truck cranes, and snow and ice equipment. Unlike a PTO-plus-extension arrangement, the 890 Series is a single integrated unit. The clutch is positioned at the rear of the PTO housing, allowing the gear section to mount tightly against the transmission for a compact overall package. An additional support bracket at the rear of the transmission is included for added rigidity. The 890 Series accommodates Allison transmissions equipped with or without a cooler, retarder, or both. For application-specific torque ratings and installation guidance, refer to the 890/892/897/899 Series Owner’s Manual or contact Pro Gear and Transmission.
