Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489ZUITX-A5XK or 489ZUITXA5XK, mounts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening on most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec units. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the adapter plate, cutting potential leak paths and reducing installation time. Intermittent torque rating for the 489 Series is 250 lb-ft (339 Nm); shaft power is 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Output is through a 1-1/4″ round shaft with key. Shift is wire/cable mechanical. Internal components are common to the Chelsea 442 Series, and a greaseable output option helps protect the shaft splines against fretting and corrosion.
