Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off 489XWDBX-A3XD or 489XWDBXA3XD mounts directly to an 8-bolt transmission opening on most manual transmissions, including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec units, eliminating the adapter plate that the 442 Series requires and removing a potential leak path. The one-piece cast iron housing delivers up to 250 lb-ft intermittent torque, matching the torque capacity of the 442 Series while sharing its internal parts for simplified service. Shift is wire/cable mechanical. Output is a 1-1/4″ round shaft (with key option), rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1000 RPM. The tapered bearing design handles higher radial loads than needle bearings. Common applications include utility trucks, dump trucks, and aerial and fire/rescue equipment.
