The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489XUDBX-A3XK or 489XUDBXA3XK, mounts directly to an 8-bolt transmission opening on Eaton Fuller, Volvo, Mack, and other compatible manual transmissions. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the adapter plate found on many competitive units, removing a common leak path and cutting installation time. Wire/cable mechanical shift is standard on this unit, with an electric-over-air shift option also available for the 489 Series. The 1-1/4″ round output shaft (keyed) drives applications in the 46-55 HP range, with shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Intermittent torque rating for the 489 Series is 201-300 lb-ft; verify actual torque requirements against Chelsea application charts before ordering.
