Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489XSAHX-A5XQ or 489XSAHXA5XQ, is an 8-bolt PTO assembly designed for manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec. The one-piece cast iron housing mounts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. Shift type is wire/cable mechanical. The output shaft is a 1-1/4″ round with key. Intermittent torque rating for the 489 Series is 201-300 lb-ft (check application pages for actual torque ratings). Shaft power is 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Internal parts are common with the 442 Series. A genuine Chelsea part sold by Pro Gear and Transmission.
