Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489XSAHX-A5RB or 489XSAHXA5RB, is an 8-bolt PTO assembly designed for manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. Shift is accomplished via wire/cable mechanical actuation. The output shaft is a 1-1/4″ round type with key. Intermittent torque capacity for the 489 Series is 201-300 lb-ft (301-400 Nm); shaft power is 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Internal parts are common to the Chelsea 442 Series.
