Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XRAHX-A3AZ or 489XRAHXA3AZ, is a wire/cable mechanical shift PTO designed for manual transmissions with an 8-bolt mounting aperture, including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec applications. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. The 489 Series delivers intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range and shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM or 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Output is through a 1-1/4″ round shaft with key. Internal components are common to the Chelsea 442 Series, and the kit-style design simplifies field service.
