Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XQAHX-T3SQ or 489XQAHXT3SQ, mounts directly to 8-bolt transmission openings on Eaton Fuller, Mack, Tremec, and Volvo applications without an adapter plate, eliminating a potential leak path. The one-piece cast iron housing delivers the same 250 lb-ft intermittent torque rating as the 442 Series. Output shaft is a 1-1/4″ round with key. Shift is wire/cable mechanical, with an electric-over-air shift option also available. Output power runs 46-55 HP, with shaft power measured at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Strong tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load capacity. Internal parts share commonality with the Chelsea 442 Series, simplifying service.
