Description
The Chelsea 489XLDBX-A5XD or 489XLDBXA5XD is a 489 Series Power Take-Off designed for manual transmissions with an 8-bolt PTO mounting aperture, including Eaton Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other compatible units. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission opening without an adapter plate, reducing potential leak paths. This unit uses a wire/cable mechanical shift and accepts a 1-1/4″ round output shaft with key. The 489 Series delivers 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM, with an intermittent torque rating of 201-300 lb-ft for the series. Strong tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability. Internal parts are common to the 442 Series. Sold by Pro Gear and Transmission.
