Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489GHAHX-V5GK or 489GHAHXV5GK, is a wire/cable mechanical-shift PTO built for manual transmissions with an 8-bolt mounting aperture, including Eaton Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec applications. The gear ratio for this assembly is 23/35. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission opening without an adapter plate, removing a potential leak path compared to conventional adapter-plate designs. Output is a 1-1/4″ round shaft with key. The 489 Series delivers the same intermittent torque capacity as the Chelsea 442 Series, using strong tapered bearings rather than needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability.
