Description
The Chelsea 489 Series PTO Assembly, part number 489GFAHX-P3RB or 489GFAHXP3RB, mounts directly to an 8-bolt transmission opening on most manual transmissions, including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec, eliminating the adapter plate and its associated leak path. The one-piece cast iron housing delivers the same 250 lb-ft intermittent torque capacity as the 442 Series. Output shaft is a 1-1/4″ round with keyway. Shift type is wire/cable mechanical. Pressure lube is active on this unit (P suffix). Shaft power is rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Internal parts share commonality with the 442 Series, and the 360-degree rotatable flange with greaseable output shaft helps reduce spline fretting and corrosion.
