Description
The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489GCAHX-A5RB or 489GCAHXA5RB, is a wire/cable mechanical shift PTO built around a one-piece cast iron housing that bolts directly to an 8-bolt transmission opening on compatible Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other manual transmissions. The integral housing eliminates the adapter plate found on earlier designs, reducing potential leak paths. Output shaft is a 1-1/4″ round with key. Intermittent torque capacity for the 489 Series is 250 lb-ft (339 Nm); continuous ratings require a 30% de-rate. Shaft power output is 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM.
