Description
The Chelsea 282 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 282GTAJX-A3XD or 282GTAJXA3XD, is a medium-duty hot-shift PTO designed for demanding vocational applications. The 282 Series mounts via an 8-bolt pattern and is compatible with Allison, Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other transmission families. The output shaft is a 1-1/4″ round shaft with a 5/16″ key. Shift is pneumatic or PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic), with an integral air valve built in. The 282 Series carries a continuous torque rating up to 300 lb-ft (check application pages for your specific rating) and an intermittent torque range of 201-300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm). Shaft power is rated at 29 HP at 500 RPM and 57 HP at 1,000 RPM. Typical markets include aerial, construction equipment, water trucks, towing and recovery, and fuel oil delivery.
