Description
The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GMFJP-E5RK or 281GMFJPE5RK, is a hydraulically shifted (PowerShift) PTO designed for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar transmissions. The 281 Series evolved from the top-selling 280 Series with measurable structural upgrades: a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load, and an 80% thicker steel disc clutch pack for reduced tooth wear. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high output demands. Wet Spline Lubrication extends shaft life 7 to 10 times compared to standard configurations.
