Description
The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GKFJP-N5XV or 281GKFJPN5XV, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO designed for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, commonly found on Allison transmissions. The 281 Series builds on the proven 280 Series platform with a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an 80% thicker clutch pack steel disc for reduced tooth wear, and an o-ring sealing configuration between housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load and resist vibration. Nine speed ratios cover low and high-speed applications. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference fit issues at the pump. SmartStart reduces shock load at engagement, and Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) protects downstream equipment.
